Carnegie Mellon University is located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The greater metropolitan area has more than 2 million residents. The campus encompasses approximately 100 acres and adjoins a 500-acre city park and residential communities with abundant student housing.
The Electrical and Computer Engineering Department's main office is located in Hamerschlag Hall. ECE personnel are also located in Porter Hall, Roberts Hall, Wean Hall, and Hamburg Hall.
ECE tours and information sessions for prospective undergraduate students are offered during the fall and spring semesters. Tours are led by current ECE students and provide insights into the ECE academic experience, campus life, and available metacurricular activities within the department. A Q & A session will follow. To schedule a tour for the current semester, please click here.
Please note: This information session is for prospective undergraduate students interested in ECE. To make the most of your visit, we encourage you to also contact the Office of Undergraduate Admission. They are your best resource for all undergraduate admission-related questions. They offer both campus tours and information sessions. We do our best to schedule our tours so that prospective students who are interested in ECE have the opportunity to participate in both tours.
