Peha offers insight on postponed net neutrality hearing

Will the internet remain open? That wait continues. A recently scheduled hearing to discuss rules surrounding net neutrality was postponed by the House Energy and Commerce Committee after no response from any of the eight tech companies invited to testify. The reason, EPP/ECE’s Jon Peha told Morning Consult, might be the ongoing review of those rules by the Federal Communications Commission. “We don’t even know what changes they’re thinking about,” Peha said. “So with that much uncertainty, I would imagine that at least some of the players will wait and see how this plays out at the FCC.”
