Phil Koopman was quoted in Wall Street Daily on artificial intelligence in self-driving cars. One challenge facing self-driving cars is the complexity of artificial intelligence and machine-learning in a real-world setting. According to Koopman, we can't just assume this technology is going to work. Koopman was also quoted in EE Times about the ISO 26262 software safety standard.
