David Brumley to co-chair first ever “Enigma” conference
CyLab director David Brumley will co-chair Enigma -- a uniquely positioned vendor-neutral security conference. With support from founding sponsor Google, Enigma will be held January 25-27, 2016, in San Francisco featuring an impartial program presented by academic and industry experts offering immediately useful responses to security breaches.
"Enigma extends the USENIX Association's longstanding mission of providing positive conference environments where the computing community can gather to learn and exchange ideas, as well as have open access to research," said Casey Henderson, Executive Director of the USENIX Association. "As with all USENIX events, Enigma offers an unbiased forum for productive discussions that will benefit the security community."
Enigma offers a different scope and format than the more academic USENIX Security Symposium (August 12-14, 2015, in Washington, D.C.), the preeminent forum for presenting groundbreaking refereed papers now in its 24th year.
The three-day Enigma security conference will bring together researchers and practitioners from industry, academia, and government. The conference will present dynamic, content-rich 30-minute peer-reviewed talks focusing on emerging threats and novel attacks. Topics covered may
