Parno quoted by WSJ on Intel chip flaws
The Wall Street Journal quoted Bryan Parno about Intel’s Spectre and Meltdown chip flaws. Since the flaws’ discoveries, attention toward hardware hacking seems to have grown. Parno helped organize the IEEE annual security and privacy conference recently held in San Francisco and commented that its rate of papers submitted for computer hardware security jumped 30% from last year. He thinks the jump is caused by the flaw discoveries. Intel has since addressed the flaws with software updates. Read the article.
