NEW PROJECT CONCEPT
Chameleon is now a rig that lets the user control a spray paint can as it draws a picture on a giant post-it note pad. Due to difficulties in reverse-engineering a modern printer, we were forced to move to a new way of producing art.
The user can, by tilting the accelerometer, control the spray paint brush as it moves across the provided canvas (in this case, a giant post-it note). This control scheme doesn't currently exist, and neither does the concept of controlling a large painting.
Chameleon is a 'brush' that is capable of painting any color. It can change colors based on an artist's stroke speed, or over time. Colors can be chosen from the enviroment with a color sensor or via a phone app. Chameleon is a simple device made to convience artists.
Currently for an artist to paint they need multiple brushes and colors. With the Chameleon the artist can paint in any color, through a color picker or color scanner. The Chameleon will suport gradient drawing which reacts to time or brush speed.
The Chameleon should paint in a color of the user's choosing. It should be easy to paint with, it cannot be too unwieldy. The user can scan items in surroundings and paint with those colors. The user should be able to paint in gradients based on time or brush speed.
