18549 Spring 2012 Team 28

HummingBird

, a glove controlled quadrotor, is able to fly according to your gestures. It incorporates an on-board IMU with EKF integrated, a customly built and calibrated quadrotor, and runs based on an Arduino Embedded processor. The glove makes it more intuitive to control the vehicle, and makes Hummingbird a much more interactive toy.

Latest Updates

April 30, 2012: We finished the final system integration, and the ARDrone flies well with the glove controller! We are preparing for the public demo tomorrow. Hope to see you there!
February 12, 2012: We started preparing for the in class presentation on February 15, 2012; and finished updating the website.
February 12, 2012: We started to assemble the parts list for the quadrotor, as well as constructing the glove and IMU.

WiFly - 04/10/2012

We finished integrating the WiFly wifi shield with the Arduino. It's able to send packets and command the ARDrone wirelessly.
