Welcome to the website of Team 13's capstone course, 18-549 Embedded Systems Design, Spring 2012. BBackSafe is a device that combines an alcohol sensor and warning system with a car key in order to prevent drunk driving incidents. Andrew Chung

is a Junior studying Electrical & Computer Engineering at CMU. Andrew is in charge of external communications and keeps track of the parts used in the project. He also enjoys programming.


Frank Zhou

is a Junior studying Electrical & Computer Engineering at CMU, with a focus in Human-Computer Interaction. He is in charge of working with the Android client for the project. He is interested robotics and machinery.


May Zhai

is a Senior studying Electrical & Computer Engineering at CMU. She is interested in programming and computer software, which is why she is the webmaster of the BBackSafe website.


Charlie Xu

is a Senior studying Electrical & Computer Engineering at CMU. His speciality and interests include computer hardware and circuits. He is the main quality assurance and tester for this project.
