ECE post-doc Paul Bogdan recently won the Best in Session Award at TECHCON 2012, the Semiconductor Research Corporation's (SRC) primary event to showcase the best of its members' research. This year's TECHCON took place earlier this month in Austin, Texas.
Bogdan, who earned his Ph.D. in ECE at Carnegie Mellon in 2011, received the award for his talk, "Dynamic Characterization of Multi-Kernel Operating Systems for Multicore Platforms Design," co-authored with ECE Professor Radu Marculescu. The work draws from ongoing projects on low power design and optimization techniques for multicore systems performed by Marculescu's System-Level Design Group with SRC, a global technical research consortium with members from industry and academia.
