Faculty Speak to Graduate Students About Teaching, Research and Tenure

October 1, 2004

On October 1, Bruce Krogh, Professor and Associate Department Head of ECE, Susan Polansky, Teaching Professor and Associate Head of Modern Languages, and Chemistry Research Professor Colin Horwitz discussed "Faculty Appointments: Tenure Track, Teaching, Research, and 'Hybrid'"appointments as part of the new Doctoral Career Path (DCP) series sponsored by the Graduate Programs Office.

The goal of the DCP panels is to help doctoral students focus their career ambitions, not simply weighing the comparatively reductive question of "academy versus industry?" but rather understanding multiple levels of workplace and career choice decisions.
