Steenkiste and Seshan Help Organize ACMs SIGCOMM 2002 Conference

Two ECE faculty are on the organization committee for the annual conference of the Association for Computing Machinerys Special Interest Group on Data Communication (ACMs SIGCOMM 2002). Peter Steenkiste, Associate Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) and Computer Science (CS), is a General Co-Chair, along with Matt Mathis of Pittsburghs Supercomputing Center. Srinivasan Seshan, Assistant Professor of CS and ECE, serves as the Tutorials Chair.

The prestigious program in computer and data communication networks will be held in Pittsburgh at the Omni William Penn Hotel from August 19-23.

The meetings feature a single-track technical program of paper presentations, as well as two days of pre-conference tutorials and workshops.

The event will be delivered on the End System Multicast Broadcast, developed by a team led by Hui Zhang, Associate Professor of CS and ECE.
