Silicon Networks (SlicNets)

The objective of this research work is to explore the communication-centric SOC design and provide formal support for analysis and optimization of novel on-chip communication architectures. In particular, this work addresses fundamental research problems for defining scalable and flexible communication schemes via the Network-on-Chip (NoC) approach. These research problems include communication infrastructure design (e.g. network topology), communication paradigm (e.g. routing protocols) and application optimization (e.g. application mapping).
