Founded in 1881 by Kibataro Oki as Japan's first telecommunications manufacturer, Oki Electric Industry Company has been at the leading edge of technological excellence for more than a century. Oki Electric is a network-solution company which provides customers with products and technologies for telecommunications systems, information systems and electronic devices.
Through a collaboration with OKI Semiconductor Design Center in Pittsburgh, the Digital Sandbox has added OKI standard cell library to the Sandbox design flow. In the Sandbox Design Experience course, we used OKI 0.16um standard cell library and Virage memory generators.

Monterey, founded in 1997, has a corporate focus on addressing the spiraling increase in IC design complexity. Monterey Design Systems provides software that helps our customers produce better designs. Our progressive refinement methodology clears away the clutter of nanometer details so engineers can focus on high-impact design decisions. Two characteristics make the Monterey technology so powerful. First, it simultaneously optimizes designs to meet all design criteria - power, area, timing, noise, etc. Second, it performs all construction and analysis operations simultaneously starting at a coarse level of granularity and then progressively refining the design until completion.
The Digital Sandbox works closely with Monterey to add Monterey Dolphin state-of-the-art placement and routing software to our design flow. Multiple standard cell libraries were integrated with Monterey tools and supported by the Sandbox.

STMicroelectronics is a global independent semiconductor company and is a leader in developing and delivering semiconductor solutions across the spectrum of microelectronics applications. An unrivaled combination of silicon and system expertise, manufacturing strength, Intellectual Property (IP) portfolio and strategic partners positions the Company at the forefront of System-on-Chip (SoC) technology and its products play a key role in enabling today's convergence trends.
STMicro standard cell libraries for 0.35, 0.18, 0.13 and 0.09 CMOS technology processes are supported by the Digital Sandbox and integrated with Cadence, Synopsis and Monterey CAD tools.

Cadence Design Systems is the world's largest supplier of electronic design technologies, methodology services, and design services. Its solutions provide the fastest way to design high-performance electronic systems and integrated circuits (ICs). Cadence offers the most comprehensive product line in the industry, including end-to-end solutions for system, digital, analog, and printed circuit board (PCB) design.

Synopsys, Inc. is the world leader in integrated circuit (IC) design software and also develops software that companies use to design systems-on-chips (SoCs) and electronic systems. The company sells its products to semiconductor, computer, communications, consumer electronics, aerospace and other companies that develop electronic products.

Mentor Graphics is a technology leader in electronic design automation (EDA), providing software and hardware design solutions that enable companies to send better electronic products to market faster and more cost-effectively. The company offers innovative products and solutions that help engineers overcome the design challenges they face in the increasingly complex worlds of board and chip design -where deep submicron (DSM) technology and System-on-Chip (SoC) design multiply the challenges of getting great product ideas to market.
