Through a collaboration with OKI Semiconductor Design Center in
Pittsburgh, the Digital Sandbox has added OKI standard cell library
to the Sandbox design flow. In the Sandbox Design Experience course,
we used OKI 0.16um standard cell library and Virage memory
generators. |

Monterey, founded in 1997, has a corporate focus on addressing the
spiraling increase in IC design complexity. Monterey Design Systems
provides software that helps our customers produce better designs.
Our progressive refinement methodology clears away the clutter of
nanometer details so engineers can focus on high-impact design
decisions. Two characteristics make the Monterey technology so
powerful. First, it simultaneously optimizes designs to meet all
design criteria - power, area, timing, noise, etc. Second, it
performs all construction and analysis operations simultaneously
starting at a coarse level of granularity and then progressively
refining the design until completion. |

The Digital Sandbox works closely with Monterey to add Monterey
Dolphin state-of-the-art placement and routing software to our design
flow. Multiple standard cell libraries were integrated with Monterey
tools and supported by the Sandbox.
