FastHASH is a general algorithm designed for most seed-and-extend based mappers. Currently, it is being used in mrFAST after version 2.5.0.0.
FastHASH is developed by Donghyuk Lee and Hongyi Xin at SAFARI group in Carnegie Mellon University.
