Peter F. Klemperer

Research Statement:

I am working for my advisor Professor James C. Hoe in the ECE Department at Carnegie Mellon University . My focus is improving consumer computing security using per-application virtual machines.  Virtualization also enables new detection mechanisms from the high-ground measurement position in the hypervisor; outside of the guest operating-system.

Biography:

Peter F. Klemperer is a fifth year PhD student at Carnegie Mellon (ECE), advised by James C. Hoe. He completed his Masters Degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2008. His research interests include reliable and secure computing in both critical and consumer applications.

Goals:

I am working towards a PhD Degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering and trying to graduate in May 2014.
