ABSTRACT:
This paper presents experimental results of an endoscopic optical tomographic (EOCT) imaging system based on a micromachined mirror. Due to the use of the micromachined mirror, the endoscopic OCT system is highly suitable for non-invasive imaging diagnosis of a wide variety of inner organs. Ex-vivo imaging of rabbit bladder was performed. The microstructures of the bladder walls could be delineated with a traverse resolution of 20 µm and an axial resolution of 10 µm. The results have demonstrated the potential of EOCT for early diagnosis of bladder cancer and precise guiding of excisional biopsy.
