Layout of a down-converting resonant MEMS mixer, implemented in CMOS.

Finite-element simulation of the desired resonant mode of a free-free beam down-converting mixer.
This project is furthering the design of MEMS resonant mixer/filter devices for RF receiver applications. These devices are part of a larger project to create an arrayed receiver system on chip that can operate on several separate bands simultaneously. One of the key components in such a system is an efficient mixer topology that down converts RF signals to the HF to VHF frequency range.
