Historical Descriptions
If you want permission to use these, please see the Important Notes below!
- My e-mail volume is huge (hundreds of e-mails per day), and I don't have
time to answer every inquiry. PLEASE read the below!
- I am not the author of this material; it was created by my late father,
Phil Koopman Sr., who also did the
pcx2dxf program.
- If you want to reproduce, build, print, or use these models for personal
use, a school project, an organized youth project (boy scouts, girl scouts,
4-H, etc.), school/youth presentation, model-building group, or small
social group of any kind, I consider that fair use as long as no money is
changing hands. In particular, if you are a teacher or youth group
volunteer and want to use these for an activity in your class or non-profit
group, there is no need to ask permission. But it is always nice to get
a brief e-mail just saying you are using them (don't ask for permission -- just
let me know how you used them).
- Files on this web site cannot be distributed electronically (neither via
web nor any other means). This includes schools and non-profit organizations,
which only have permission to distribute printed copies to their
members/students without charge. Giving people a pointer to this web page is
fine of course.
- If you want to get copyright permission please contact me at:
after you read the above points. 99% of all copyright requests I
receive are from folks who fall into one of the "it's OK" categories
above, where permission is already given. As a general rule, requests to copy
materials to another web site or as part of a for-profit arrangement will be
declined.
