One part of every PhD student's career is the qualifying exam. In order to alleviate stress, and help students excel, EGO has set up this resource page with information and links. If you have any feedback, please feel free to let us know. |
| Qual Mentoring Session |
| Once each semester, EGO organizes a qual mentoring session. This consists of a presentation made by several panelists (who have successfully passed the qualifier) and a Q&A session with those panelists, where students taking the qualifier can ask any questions they want (note: this is a student-run session, faculty and staff are not present). The slides from a prior presentation can be found here. |
| Practice Talk Announce List |
| There is a mailing list for practice talk announcements here. Please use this list only for practice talk announcements. Also, please consider attending other people's practice talks. Getting feedback from other students on your talk is valuable, so be sure to send an announce to this group when you schedule a practice talk to prep for your qual. Note: This is a moderated group. Please refrain from any discussions on this mailing list, it is for announcements of practice talk times/locations only. |
