Project Title: On-line Book Store

Baseline Application Description:

Configuration:

• Middleware - CORBA
• Operating System - Linux
• Program Language - Java, html

Third-party software, if any (databases):

• mySQL, Tomcat
  

Baseline Application Features:

• Stakeholders (Application users) are two identical users, customer and administrator.
• Customer shall register their information to the database (ID, password, name, address, phone number, email, credit card number, etc)
• Administrator shall add and delete the inventory list.
• The application shall support simple search of books (by title, by author etc)
• User be able to order books (registered user only)

Reliability Requirements:

• On-goingtransaction preservation
• Server can start in ten seconds
• Data preservation in case of server/storage failure by using redundant server/database

Real-Time Requirements:

• Upon arrival to the server, search should be done within 5 sec, otherwise an error messageshould be sent back to user
• Upon arrival to the server, confirmation should be done within 5 sec, otherwise an errormessage should be sent back to user
• Upon arrival tothe server, authentication should be done within 5 sec, otherwise an errormessage should be sent back to user
• Upon arrival tothe server, confirmation should be done within 5 sec, otherwise an errormessage should be sent back to user
• Upon arrival tothe server, database update should be done within 5 sec, otherwise an errormessage should be sent back to user

Performance Requirements:

• The database cansupport up to 1000 user profile
• The database cansupport up to 10000 different book titles
• Support for 100 transactions in one minute
• The system can support 100 users concurrently
