Questions & Assumptions
Questions
- Should we consider using 'Interceptors'?
- Are we realy 100% stateless?
- Do we need checkpointing if we are truely stateless?
- Can and should we start our JNDI naming service separate from JBoss?
- We will build a global naming server and continue to launch JBoss with its local JNDI for accessing beans on a specific server.
- Should we use a single naming service, or multiple?
- Single, global, naming service that uses multiple, local, JBoss JNDI naming services.
Assumptions
- Our naming server, if separate from our application servers, will not be killed.
- This assumption is correct, unless we decide to go after a fault-tolerant naming service for phase 4 instead of real-time plus performance.
- Our message IDs will be committed to the database via messageID Entity Bean. We can create transactions for all writes to the DB to include the commit of the message id and make these transactions atomic.
- This assumption is correct.
