The purpose of this project is to track people density and frequency. The project will include floor mats equiped with sensors for tracking foot traffic so that they can better manage their time during large events.
Events with large attendace often become extremely difficult to navigate. Lines at one time of the day can have wait times that last for hours but
later shorten to just a couple minutes. Individuals should be aware of large crowds or
lines where they
can be stuck for hours so that they can manage
their time.
Uses:
- Reducing wait times at conventions such as CES (Attendance: 140,000+)
- Managing long lines at amusement parks. (Mats placed at intervals along lines)
- Managing long lines at concession stands at stadiums.
