Title: Network Programmer

Description: The Parallel Data Labratory at Carnegie Mellon University is actively seeking a networking programmer or engineer. We are looking for highly-motivated persons interested in designing state-of-the-art networking software and/or hardware. Current projects include: the design and implementation of a networking protocols and/or modifications to existing protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, RPC); characterization, design, and management of three Gigabit networking testbeds including FibreChannel, Gigabit Ethernet, Myrinet, and 155 Mbit ATM; integration of Gigabit networking and network-attached storage; design, programming and/or implementation of intelligent NICs (i.e., network cards), hubs and routers; integration of intelligent networks and intelligent storage. Applicants should also have a Masters degree or a Bachelors degree plus equivalent experience.
