The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, in conjunction with the interdisciplinary Biomedical Engineering Department, offers augmented M.S. and Ph.D. degrees designed to train electrical and computer engineering students for positions as biomedical engineers.

While completing the course and project unit requirements for the M.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering, candidates for the augmented Electrical and Computer Engineering (Bioengineering) M.S. degree must complete at least three courses from the following list:

Courses and projects normally may satisfy both departmental and program requirements. All qualifying and oral examinations for the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees are administered by the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. For further information, contact R.H.
