Applications are due by the following dates:
Admission is based upon a student's overall academic and research backgrounds, GRE and TOEFL scores, academic transcripts, statement of purpose and recommendation letters and not upon financial need.
The GRE General Test is required of all applicants.
In light of the discovery of a 2002 security breach and the ETS decision to suspend the computer-based test (CBT) in four Asian countries, CBT GRE results conducted before October 1, 2002 will not be accepted from the countries of Hong Kong, Taiwan, China and Korea. CBT GREs from other countries appear to not be part of the security breach and will be accepted as usual.
The TOEFL test is required of all international applicants whose "native" language is not English. The scores for the GRE and TOEFL must be received by the application deadline for the semester in which students are applying.
Financial aid is awarded upon admission in the form of research assistantships based upon departmental resources and available openings. If available, financial aid is awarded for both the Fall and Spring semesters. There is not a special financial aid form.
Please note that a non-refundable application fee of $55 is required of all applicants and only those applications received with the fee will be processed. Applications received without the fee will not be processed and the application fee cannot be waived.
