Project description

Biometrics Identification is a critical component in current and future deployable access control systems. In this project I will explore iris matching algorithms (segmentation and iris matching) for use on cellphone camera after an iris image has been acquired from the camera.

This project will also explore sending the iris image to a remote server for processing and matching as well as onboard processing. Blocks include segmentation and iris feature extraction and matching.

Additionally, face recognition will be explored but mainly focused on sending image to central server for matching and communication using andrew wireless sensor.

The project will aim to allow camera phone to grant access to enter physical and logical spaces and we will explore image quality for close iris acquistion and face matching.
