This project will build off the idea of dual photography, in which cameras and light sources can be interchanged. By using one light source and multiple cameras around a scene, we gather the same information as if we had used one camera and moved the light source around the scene. Using this information we can construct a depth map.
By using a projector as the light source, a binary matrix can be projected on the scene and compressive sensing techniques can be used to speed up the construction of the depth map. It is anticipated that this system will work in real-time.
