Project description

The goal of this project is to model technical and policy aspects of present-day energy grid infrastructure for the purposes of providing support to the development of a simulation environment and experiments for understanding and developing cyber-security techniques for electric power systems. The technical models that will be developed are: electrical, SCADA, SCADA attack, SCADA agent, and SCADA agent attack. In addition, the student will research and develop models of policies that are authored by various power system stakeholders such as: reliability coordinators, market operators, generator owners and operators, transmission owners and operators, electric service providers, and power marketers. Such policy models will then need to be related to the electrical and SCADA models.
