U.S. News & World Report ranks ECE graduate program among top ten

U.S. News and World Report has named Carnegie Mellon University's College of Engineering fourth in its 2016 Best Graduate Schools Rankings, the highest rank the program has received in more than 15 years. In speciality rankings, the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering ranked fourth in computer engineering and eighth in electrical engineering.

"The ECE Department continues to inspire, educate, and produce electrical and computer engineers capable of tackling fundamental scientific problems and important societal challenges. We are excited about our strategic focus and growth in the years to come," said Jelena Kovačević, Electrical and Computer Engineering Department Head.

In other speciality rankings, the college is ranked seventh in environmental, eighth in mechanical, ninth in civil, 10th in materials, 14th in chemical and 29th in biomedical.
