ECE's David Brumley featured on Nightline

Computer hacking has gained the attention of millions due to the recent security breaches incurred by many major companies. By offering classes centered around cyber security, students at Carnegie Mellon are learning how to protect our systems and networks.

Electrical and Computer Engineering Associate Professor David Brumley was featured on ABC’s Nightline and explains how students are learning to beat hackers at their own game. “We’re teaching students how to identify vulnerabilities and how to show that they are really exploitable,” Professor Brumley says. “We need to teach students to identify vulnerabilities before the bad guys.”
