Lin, Zhu Win Best Paper Award at MMM 2008

The paper "Measurement of High Data Rate Performance in Perpendicular Magnetic Recording," presented by PhD graduate student Wenchin Lin and ABB Professor of Engineering and DSSC Director Jimmy Zhu, won the best paper award at the 53rd Annual Conference on Magnetism and Magnetic Materials. The conference, held Nov. 11–14 in Austin, Texas, annually brings together scientists and engineers interested in recent developments in all branches of fundamental and applied magnetism. Emphasis is placed on experimental and theoretical research in magnetism, the properties and synthesis of new magnetic materials, and advances in magnetic technology.
