Carnegie Mellon was ranked seventh worldwide in the most recent THES-QS World University Rankings for engineering and IT, listing the top 50 universities for technology. The rankings are published annually by The Times Higher Education Supplement (THES) and Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), based on reviews by peers, recruiters, international students and faculty, student and faculty ratios, and citations per faculty. Overall, Carnegie Mellon ranked 20th in their list of the top 200 universities.
