ECE Graduate Student Leaders Elected

July 9, 2007

ECE's Engineering Graduate Student Organization (EGO) has elected new officers for the year with Srinivas Chellappa as president, Kyle Anderson as vice president and fall picnic chair, Adam Pennington as treasurer, and Nicole Saulnier as secretary. Additionally, Stacey Ivol has joined the team as vice president for the winter party. The students took their posts this summer.

EGO is a group which eases the transition into graduate student life, organizes social, cultural, and sports events, and maintains graduate student facilities.

Carnegie Mellon develops leadership skills for ECE students at all levels by offering volunteer opportunities with a variety of organizations in addition to EGO, including: the ECE Student Advisory Council, Eta Kappa Nu: ECE Honor Society, the Graduate Student Assembly, the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Student Chapter, the National Society of Black Engineers CMU Student Chapter, the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers CMU Student Chapter, the Society of Women Engineers, Tau Beta Pi: The Engineering Honor Society, and WinECE (Women in ECE).
