Ilic Edits Special Issue of IEEE Proceedings:

"Power Technology and Policy – Forty Years After the 1965 Blackout"

Marija Ilic, Professor of ECE and EPP, is a guest editor for the Proceedings of the IEEE November 2005 special issue, "Power Technology and Policy – Forty Years After the 1965 Blackout." The journal will focus on the changing demands, technologies, and economics of the electric power industry, covering the following areas:

Ilic points out that the disciplines underlying work in electric power systems include systems, control theory, and automation; distributed sensors and actuators; and communications, computing, and information technologies. Additionally, the interdependencies between physical, economic, financial, and policy systems demand multidisciplinary studies to address critical industry issues.
