Diana Marculescu Elected Chair of ACM/SIGDA
To Serve on DAC Executive Committee

Diana Marculescu, Associate Professor of ECE, has been elected chair of the Association for Computing Machinery's Special Interest Group on Design Automation (ACM/SIGDA). The technical society is for those involved in using computing in all phases of electrical and electronic design. SIGDA sponsors an annual Design Automation Conference (DAC) and other research and educational events.
DAC is the premier electronic design automation (EDA) and silicon solution event. The 43rd DAC will be held July 24-28, 2006, in San Francisco, and Marculescu is a member of the executive committee as the ACM/SIGDA representative.
