ECE graduate students Xin Li, Jiayong (Kelvin) Le, Padmini Gopalakrishnan, and their advisor Larry Pileggi, Tanoto Professor of ECE; Director, Center for Silicon System Implementation (CSSI), received the IEEE/ACM William J. McCalla ICCAD Best Paper Award for "Asymptotic Probability Extraction for Non-Normal Distributions of Circuit Performance," which was presented at the IEEE/ACM International Conference on Computer Aided Design in San Jose, California, held November 7-11, 2004.
Moments of nonlinear performance models are extracted and used to derive localized statistical performance models that are non-normal random distributions.
