Carnegie Mellon's Data Storage Systems Center (DSSC) hosted their fall technical review from September 20-21 with sessions in device physics, low density parity check (LDPC) codes, mechanical systems, and materials. The DSSC offers technical reviews twice a year to update center members, invited guests, and DSSC personnel on current research progress through oral presentations and poster sessions that highlight project areas. Over two dozen industry representatives took part in this review representing companies from the U.S., Japan, and Europe.
