Smailagic Invited to Speak at London's Royal Academy of Engineering

Institute for Complex Engineered Systems (ICES) Research Professor Asim Smailagic gave an invited talk on "Carnegie Mellon Pervasive and Context Aware Computing" at the Royal Academy of Engineering in London, England. Along with the National Science Foundation (NSF) and Science Counselors of the European Union, the Royal Academy of Engineering is launching an initiative to collaborate on new technologies for improving human lives, independent living, smart spaces and assistive technologies for people with disabilities. Smailagic is recognized as a leading scientist and investigator in the area of new computing technologies that can be used for these applications.
