Smailagic Wins 2003 Carnegie Science Center Award for Excellence in Information Technology

Asim Smailagic, Senior Research Scientist, Institute for Complex Engineered Systems, will be awarded a Carnegie Science Center Award for Excellence in Information Technology April 30 at the Pittsburgh Hilton. According to the Carnegie Science Center, the award recognizes and celebrates the most outstanding recent achievements in science and technology in Southwestern Pennsylvania. These awards raise public awareness about science and it application in our lives. They also serve to underscore the interrelationship of schools and universities, research laboratories, business development, and job creation in this region.
