On May 20, 2001 the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering awarded: 30 Doctor of Philosophy degrees; 33 Master of Science degrees; 55 Integrated MS/BS (IMB) degrees;
* 16 simultaneously completed both the MS and BS degrees; * 11 completed both degrees in 4 years;
156 Bachelor of Science degrees;
* 56 graduated with University honors (Q.P.A. of 3.5 or better); and * 22 graduated with College honors (completed an intensive Senior Honors Research project).
The program included the presentation of six awards: the E.M. Williams Award, the David Tuma Laboratory Project Award, the Outstanding Graduate Student Teaching Assistant Award, the Eta Kappa Nu (HKN) Award for Outstanding Faculty Teaching, the Eta Kappa Nu Outstanding Chapter Activities Award Certificate of Merit, and the Sargent Electric Patterson Prize.
