Siewiorek Elected to University Professor

Daniel P. Siewiorek, Buhl Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering and Computer Science and Director of the Human Computer Interaction Institute, has been elected a University Professor. With this nomination, Siewiorek joins a distinguished group of peers who represent the intellectual leadership of Carnegie Mellon.

In his nearly three decades at Carnegie Mellon, Siewiorek has made many contributions to interdisciplinary research efforts across colleges and departments. One of the early pioneers in design research, Siewiorek was elected to the National Academy of Engineering in 2000 "for contributions to wearable computers, multiprocessor design, reliable systems and automated design synthesis."
