Three ECE grad students garnered Best in Session Awards at the Sixth Annual TECHNON Conference, September 21-23, 2000 in Phoenix, AZ. TECHON is the Semiconductor Research Corporation's premier technical conference, offering an opportunity for SRC-sponsored students across the country to present cutting-edge research in areas vital to the U.S. semiconductor industry. The Best in Session presentation awards went to:
P. Gopalakrishnan (Advisor: Prof. Rob Rutenbar) for "Direct Transistor-Level Placement"
N. Utamaphethal (Advisor: Prof. Shawn Blanton) for "Buffer-Oriented Microarchitecture Validation"
R. Desineni (Advisor: prof. Shawn Blanton) for "Test Analysis using Fault Tuples"
In addition, Desineni and Gopalakrishnan were among the Top 16 and were awarded a laptop computer compliments of Intel Corporation.
