Dunk tank participants announced!

charity dunk tank

Here's your chance to donate money to charity and dunk your favorite professors and friends at the same time. In addition to the Department Head Ed Schlesinger and Associate Department Head Tsuhan Chen, you have the chance to get undergraduate student Katie Menzies and outgoing EGO president Vas Chellappa completely soaked to benefit the Pittsburgh Children's Hospital.

Making a return for the third year, Professor Tom Sullivan will be available earlier in the schedule.

If you're still around later in the day, you may also try your luck at dunking faculty member and ECE Day MC, Professor Dave Ricketts.

Make sure you bring a few extra dollars to purchase dunking privileges:

  • 1 Ball – $1
  • 5 Balls – $4
  • Unlimited Balls until participant is dunked – $10

All proceeds go to the Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh.

Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh has cared for children and families for more than 100 years.

This expert care has been built largely on the generous spirit of individuals, businesses and foundations, working together with a common goal – a commitment to children. All donations received today will help Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh to provide facilities, train doctors, buy specialized equipment and fund research to help diagnose, treat and prevent many childhood diseases.

Thanks to donations, Children's is better able to provide facilities, train doctors, buy specialized equipment and fun research to help diagnose, treat and prevent many childhood diseases.
