Women in ECE (WinECE) is an organization encompassing all female undergraduate students, graduate students, faculty, and staff within the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department. The WinECE Fall dinner is an annual event for the women of ECE to get to know each other and to hear a little bit more about what it's like to be a woman in industry or academia.  There is no strict dress code for the event but we encourage business casual.

Keynote Speaker Bio: Our keynote speaker this fall is Marachel Knight, Vice President for Global Services and Technology Operations at AT&T.  In her role at AT&T, Marachel leads the team which is responsible for AT&T’s emerging services, U-verse, Mobility, VoIP and Digital Life technology operations as well as incident management, risk management and disaster recovery of AT&T’s technology elements worldwide. 

Marachel’ s previous responsibilities included leading the AT&T Strategic Program Office focusing on programs that are critical to the evolution of the business including AT&T’s LTE, Cloud, Universal Services Platform (USP) and Project Stream (Video). In addition to her contributions to AT&T, Marachel contributes to her community and the field of engineering through her volunteer efforts. Marachel co-led the formation of and is a National Advisor for AT&T Women of Technology & Network and is a member of the Board of Advisors for oxyGEN, Young Professionals of AT&T. Marachel also serves as the Chairperson for Carnegie Mellon University's Information Networking Institute (CMU INI) Alumni Leadership Council and is the AT&T Client Executive for CMU. She received her master's degree in information networking from Carnegie Mellon University's Information Networking Institute and holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Florida State University.
