To be submitted any time there is a change of advisor.
Ph.D. students who are switching out of the Ph.D. program and moving into an M.S. degree program.
To be submitted for any additions or deletions to the original Ph.D. thesis committee.
To be submitted two weeks prior to the final defense date.

For students who entered the Ph.D. program prior to Spring 2001.
To be submitted one week prior to the proposal date.
Standard four-page, two-column format.
Qualifying examinations are given two times a year: fall and spring. Declarations and abstracts are due by September 15 (Fall) or February 1 (Spring).
Ph.D. students who want to remain in the Ph.D. program but who also want to receive an M.S. degree along the way by fulfilling the M.S. degree requirements.

All Ph.D. Proposal and Final Defense committees must have a minimum of four committee members present. When there are less than four members present, a teleconference request must be submitted to the ECE Graduate Office at least two weeks prior to the Proposal or Defense in order to receive approval from the ECE Department Head.
